Michael Garcia brings over 30 years of experience in football as a player, coach, and mentor. His journey through the game has shaped a clear philosophy around development. professionalism, and personal growth.

Michael began his football pathway at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and represented Australia at youth level before progressing into senior football. He went on to play professionally for Perth Glory, making over 50 senior appearances between 1997 an 2003, and was part of the club’s NSL Championship-winning side in the 2002-2003 season.

Following his playing career, Michael transitioned into coaching, where he has spent more than 15 years working in youth development, including 12 years as Head of Community Development at Perth Glory. During this time, he played a key role in shaping development programs, mentoring young players, and supporting their progression through the football pathway.

Garcia Football Coaching was established to bring these professional standards into a focused, independent environment – one where players are challenged, supported, and developed with care and intention.
